Chocolate Spice Chocolate Cake

We’ve spiced up our chocolate ecstasy cake - adding a holiday flare. Building on our Chocolate Ecstasy Cake mix recipe that already has a special blend of three Ghirardelli chocolates and real vanilla, add in a combination of spices to create a moist, delectable chocolate spice chocolate cake. Perfection!

You Will Need:

1 box Firenza Chocolate Ecstasy Cake Mix
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs

1. Heat oven to 350°. While oven is pre-heating, grease or lightly spray bottom of 9″ round cake pan.
 
2. Beat eggs, milk, oil, cinnamon, allspice, ground cloves and cake mix together in a large bowl at low speed for about 30 seconds. Scrape bowl. Beat 3 more minutes at low speed, or stir by hand.
 
3. Pour batter into baking pan.
 
4. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake pulls out clean.
 
5. Remove from oven. Cool 15 minutes in pan. Cool completely.

*For an easy yet elegant presentation, dust with powdered sugar just before serving. Goes great with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream too!
