The beer adds a delicious, yeast flavor. It also makes a terrific pizza crust for your favorite homemade pizza.

Traditional Beer Bread IngredientsEnriched bleached flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin), sugar, leavening (sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum sulfate , calcium carbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), salt.
Baking InstructionsYou Will Need:

» 12 oz. Beer (1 can) or Sparkling Water
» 2 Tbsp. Melted Butter (optional)
- Heat oven to 350° for metal pans, 325° for glass pans.
- Fold bread mix and beer together in a large bowl, about 30 seconds. Do not over mix.
- Place dough into greased 9" x 5" pan, filling corners.
- Pour 2 Tbsp. melted butter on top (optional).
- Bake 50-55 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Remove bread form pan and let cool before slicing.
Serving SuggestionsWonderful Wake-Up Bread: In a large bowl add to mix: 1 Tbsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1-2 Tbsp ground coffee. Add beer, mix and and bake at 350° for 50-55 minutes. Bake the night before & slice in the morning.
Pizza Crust: Heat oven to 425°. Follow step 2 above except spread dough onto greased 12" or 14" pizza pan. Bake 25-30 minutes for thick crust, 18-20 for thin. Remove from oven, add toppings and bake 5-10 more minutes.
Bread Machine: Use only 1 1/4 cups of the beer (room temperature). You will also need 2 tsp. dry active yeast. Add ingredients to your bread machine following the directions in the owner's manual. Use the regular or white bread cycle on the light crust setting.
